Tycon Power Systems solar controllers are 3 stage PWM type battery charging controllers controlled by an industrial CPU. The 5A capacity controllers are available in 12V and 24V to accommodate different battery voltage systems.
They have full electronic protections for short circuit, reverse current, over voltage, over charge and over discharge. They offer battery overdischarge protection by disconnecting the load when battery voltage reaches 11.1V and automatically reconnecting the load when battery voltage reaches 12.2V.
The controllers have a very low self consumption of <6mA. The built in over discharge protection and low self consumption ensures the battery is not overdischarged, which greatly increases the life of the batteries.
They have three multifunction LED indicators to give a quick visual status of the load status, if battery is charging or fully charged, as well as any fault condition.
Connections are via 6 screw terminals for wire size up to 10AWG. The controllers are externally fused with a standard replaceable fuse. There are 4 screw holes for mounting.
